How to send invoices and estimates, created in Dentally, as email attachments

In Dentally you can send attachments of documents that you have created in Dentally, such as estimates, statement of account and invoices. They will be sent as pdf documents. 

N.B  Word Documents or any other form of externally created documents CANNOT be emailed from Dentally. They need to be emailed using an external email application.

To email a Statement of Account

To email a Statement of Account

  •  Go to the patient's Account tab

  • Select Statement of Account

  • Click on the email icon

  • You will see that the Statement of Account is attached

  • Select the email template you wish to use, if appropriate, or type in the Subject line and body of the email.

  • When you are ready, click Send

  • You will see the email with the Statement of Account as attachment in the patient's Correspondence tab.

To email an Invoice

To email an invoice

  •  Go to the patient's account tab

  • Select the invoice you wish to email

  • Select the email icon - top right of the screen

  • You will see that the Invoice is attached

  • Select an appropriate email template, or type in to the Subject line and email body.

  • Click on Send

  • You will now see the email, with the invoice as an attachment, in the patient's correspondence tab.

To email an Estimate

To email an estimate:

  •  Go to the patient's chart

  • Select Create New Estimate

  • Save the Estimate

  • It will automatically bounce you to a page to print the estimate. Close this window.

  • As you return to the chart tab, a box now appears to Email Estimate.

  • You will see that the Estimate is attached

  • Select an appropriate email template, or type in to the Subject line and email body.

  • Click on Send

  • You will now see the email, with the Estimate as an attachment, in the patient's correspondence tab.
