The patient search is at the top left-hand corner of Dentally. It allows you to search for patients in a number of ways.
You can search for a patient by:
Entering their name e.g.Jane Smith - you can enter this either surname or the first name first, the search will match whatever you type
Entering their mobile phone number e.g. 0709….
Entering their date of birth e.g. 22/04/1980 Please note that you must use this format when searching dates of birth. Any other format will not work, for example: ‘22nd April 1980’
By their preferred name and it is now visible from the appointment book so you can easily identify patients. A new merge field [patient_preferred_name] also allows you to address your communications to patients by their preferred name (if used and a patient doesn't have a preferred name it will use their first name).
Find an Archived patient
If you need to search for an archived patient you add an asterisk ‘*’ before the search criteria you use.
