Dentally automatically updates the recall dates you can see on a patient’s details page when certain appointments are marked as completed.

  • When you complete an appointment with the reason Exam Dentally will move forward the patient’s dentist recall date.

  • When you complete an appointment with the reason Scale & Polish Dentally will move forward the hygienist recall date.

  • When you complete an appointment with the reason Exam + Scale & Polish Dentally will move forward both the dentist and hygienist recall date.

The date that will be set is simply the date today plus the number of months that are set for the patient’s recall interval.

For example, if a patient had completed an Exam appointment on the 1st of January and their dentist recall period was set to 6 months, then their new recall date would be set as the 1st of July.

In addition, when a treatment plan is completed for a patient, you can review and change the calculated due date, if required.
