It's easy to save your digital copies of X Rays and photographs straight into the patient’s records in Dentally.

The Images tab in the chart screen lets you do this. This not only means your images are available straight in the patient’s records, but also that they are safely tucked away in the cloud with the rest of your Dentally data.

Adding Images to a Patient’s Record

Firstly, you need to know the location of the image you need to upload into Dentally. This can be straight from a memory card or copied onto your computer. You may need to export it from your X-Ray software and note where the file has been saved.

Go to the patient’s record in Dentally and open the Images tab in the Chart screen.

Click on Upload New Image.

Choose the type of image you are uploading, Radiograph or Photograph. You will then be presented with options for entering information about the image:

For Radiographs, this information can be reported by using the ‘Radiograph’ report in the Reports section.

Once you have completed the information, you need to add the image, by either dragging and dropping the file into the upload area, or clicking on the upload area and browsing to the file you want to upload.

Your image is now safe with the rest of your data, in the cloud and viewable wherever you use Dentally!
