🆕 Email attachments. You can now add attachments to the emails that you send from within Dentally. For more details and a list of all file types, read our support document here.
🆕 We have now added Online Payments as a payment method, and this has been added as a separate column to the Takings Report, PDF view, CSV export and is also included in our Xero Integration. If your patient has paid you online by any other method than through a Dentally link or the Patient Portal, you can record this using 'Online Payment'.
🌟 Improved: Charting. Multi-surface charting only had two options alt+click and ctrl+click but we have now added the ability to use right-click at the same time to make this easier.
We've listened to your feedback. Select the treatment in the usual way, then right click across multiple surfaces or separate teeth to link the treatments together in the same way you would using the ctrl or alt click method. Changing to a left click will create a separate entry for that treatment.
🌟 Improved: Permissions. We have added three areas to our customised user permission list so that practice owners can give specific responsibility to particular staff members without the need to raise their security permissions to an Administrator level.
Manage NHS contracts
New NHS contracts and amendments to existing ones can be made by non-admin users when this option is enabled.
Manage practitioner details
Adding new users still remains in the hands of an Administrator, but additional practitioners can be added where clinicians work across multiple sites and practitioner specific options, such as calendar position, colour indicator and NHS details can be managed by non-admin users with this option enabled.
Change an NHS claim status
Where an NHS claim needs to be marked as Complete - for example to agree with the awarded UDAs and remove a Query indicator, any user opted into this option with the ability to submit NHS claims can now make this change.
🐛 Fixed: The sub-menu inside the appointment dropdown will now close properly when clicked.
🐛 Fixed: Case-sensitive file extensions can now be added to email attachments.
🌟 Improved: New Patient Login: The quest to help practices capture up-to-date patient data continues. We've now added the ability for patients with a missing postcode to enter this and sync to their patient record, without any input from practice staff.

🌟 Improved: New Patient Login: Patients can now clearly see the benefits of using Patient Portal. We wanted to highlight the benefits that Patient Portal can bring to your patients, so we're now using dynamic text to highlight the services you have enabled which are relevant to your practice.
🌟 Improved: Portal Admin: More control of your Patient Portal. We want to let our practices choose which features are visible to patients, from their own admin panel. So this time we've added the option to enable or disable marketing consent. Found under the Features tab.
🐛 Fixed: Resolved an issue for Practices setting their primary and secondary colour the same was causing readability issues with some text.
🐛 Fixed: New Patient Login: Clicking login without typing in a password would cause an error, so we've made the field mandatory to type something in before you can click to log in.
