How to customise the appearance

How to customise your Dentally Portal to make it on brand with your practice.

Customising your portal will give patients reassurance that the portal is part of your practice patient experience. It also provides logo and colour consistency for your practice appearance.

To change the appearance of your Portal page head to the Customise section in the left hand navigation. You'll then want to select Portal page.

From here you’ll want to change a few setting to match your practice brand. Let's go through this together.


First up is setting your display name. We'll use this as the practice name in your email and sms messages and also in the browser tab.

Next we'll change the web address from the default we've assigned. Click change and type a unique short name that identifies your practice. Once you're happy click check to make sure this address is available. If it is, click ok to confirm.

Once changed, don't forget to update any patient communication templates to use the new address.

You'll then want to upload your practice logo using our upload tool and change the colour to one that matches your practice. This colour will be seen by patients as it's used throughout the portal for things like button colours.

If you've done all of these steps, congratulations, your portal will now be accessible and recognisable to patients as part of your practice.
