Once you have performed a PRSI eligibility check for a patient using the Welfare Partners portal, this can be recorded in Dentally. Recording the PRSI eligibility will allow you to check when recording treatment for your patient, what they are entitled to claim under PRSI.

Recording the Eligibility Check:

The patient's PRSI claims and Eligibility checks are displayed in the PRSI section of the patient's records. In order for the patient's records to display a PRSI section, their Payment Plan in Patient's Details should be recorded as PRSI.

To record a new Eligibility, select the Eligibility tab and select 'Add Eligibility'.

To record an eligibility check, you must confirm that the patient has consented to the eligibility check.

Select the date that the eligibility check was made.

The Expiry date of the eligibility check will default to 100 days from the date that the eligibility check was made, but this can be changed if appropriate.

Tick the eligibilities that the patient holds.

The patient's eligibilities will be displayed by their Payment Plan details and current balance at the top right corner of their patient records and the details of the eligibilities will be displayed in the Eligibilities tab in the PRSI section of their records. Once the eligibilities have been used, or have expired, this will be displayed.

Using Eligibilities:

When a treatment plan is started for a patient with PRSI Eligibilities, the current eligibilities will be highlighted at the top of the plan.

Changing or Deleting recorded Eligibilities:

A recorded eligibility can be deleted before it has been used. Once a claim has been raised for a patient which refers to a current eligibility check, that check will be locked and cannot be deleted.
