Patient Journey

Patients need to move through several stages as part of their appointment Journey at the practice.

It is vital that each stage is updated in Dentally to ensure a smooth experience for patients and both Clinical and Non-Clinical staff.

Breakdown of your patient journey

The appointment status can be seen on the calendar, on the top right hand side of the appointment. Moving the appointment status onto the next step can be done in several ways.

You can click on the letter to move the patient onto the next stage of the journey.

Alternatively, right-click on the appointment and the next step will be displayed at the top of the menu.

When ready the clinician will move the patient into surgery from the waiting room icon. This can be found on the left hand side of dentally.

you will see all the patients that are waiting so you can simply click on the one you wish to move to your chair.

Once the clinician has completed the appointment, they will then complete the appointment in the treatment plan. Make sure to tick and charge through anything that needs to be paid on the day.

The reception team will be able to see a tick against the appointment in the calendar once the appointment has been completed.
