How to send an NHS claim in Northern Ireland?

If you are a Northern Irish NHS dental practice, then follow these steps on how to send your NHS claims in Dentally.

Let's take a look at how to send your NHS NI claims through Dentally.

Once you have completed an NHS course of treatment, it's time to send your claim. The patient must have NHS set as their payment plan and have a Health and Care number or CHI number on their patient details.

Once on the patient's chart and you have completed the course of treatment follow these steps;

  • Tick the items as completed on the chart screen

  • Then click submit claim in the bottom right

  • This is pre-populated as much as it can if charted correctly

  • Run through the form and double-check everything is correct

  • Tick the declarations at the bottom

  • When you are ready click submit claim

  • You will get one last prompt to make sure you are happy

  • Click complete

  • The claim will sit as queued for approximately an hour before Dentally sends this to the NHS for you.
