NHS exemptions in Northern Ireland

Let's take a look at how NHS exemptions work in Dentally

When a patient is exempt you will need to add this exemption to their NHS tab for it to pull through onto their claim forms in Dentally. You may also wish to know how this appears on your claim form.

Let's take a look at how to add an exemption;

  • Navigate to the patient in question

  • Go to the NHS tab

  • Click Add an exemption

  • Choose the required exemption from the drop-down list

  • Add any supporting details as needed

  • Set your expiration date

  • Click Save

Once an NHS exemption has been added to the patient record, this will automatically be applied to any treatment plan containing NHS work.

If a treatment plan was started before an NHS exemption was recorded, but this needs to be applied to the treatment plan, you can manually choose to add this exemption using the Treatment Plan Settings option and choosing the exemption from the drop down list of exemptions which exist for this patient.
