Welcome to our March 2023 Product Update

Our monthly Product Update and Newsletter are here to keep you informed about what is happening here at Dentally.

*Key for your reference; 🌟 Improved ,πŸ› Bug Fix , πŸ†• New*

All Regions

πŸ†• New: Clinical History Side Panel

A new view of a patient's clinical history is now available. when you open this in a patient's records, this will display the patient's full clinical history in a side panel which will remain open no matter which page is open in the patient's record. This panel can be resized or even opened in a new tab in your browser and contains filtering options to help find relevant information.

🌟Improved: Exposure of Perio Exam and BPE data in clinical notes.

A patient's BPE/BEWE exams, Perio exam 6PPC and Plaque & Bleeding data is now shown in the patient's clinical history, alongside other completed treatments and clinical notes. BPE and Perio details are also now included when patients' clinical notes are exported to PDF.

πŸ› Bug Fix: We fixed the 12-hour display option that was reverted on logout. Users can now set their options and save their settings going forward.

πŸ› Bug Fix: Invalid start time on Rota Schedules. We fixed an issue that would allow a rota schedule to be created with an invalid start time.

πŸ›Bug Fix: Prevent level 2 users from seeing other practitioners' data in Practitioner Allocations Report. If the user is level 2 and a practitioner, they will only see their own treatments in this report. Level 3 + retains the same functionality as before.

UK

πŸ› Bug Fix: NHS Wales - Remove ACORN information on Band 4 claims

Where a Band 4 claim contained an ACORN examination, the ACORN related details are not required. These have been removed as this could cause claim rejection.

πŸ› Bug Fix: NHS Scotland Prior Approvals

Bug fixed which allowed observations to be entered in a state which contained too many characters to be received successfully.

πŸ› Bug Fix: NHS England Incomplete claim

Bug fixed which caused incomplete band 2 claims to submit an incorrect banding figure which caused claim rejection.

AU

🌟Improved: Medicare card details update

Changes to the Medicare card details now allow any patient who has Medicare to be added to the Medicare card details in Dentally. However, the CDBS balance functionality is still for CDBS payment plan patients only (patients on other plans cannot input or see a CDBS balance). All other functionality is exactly the same as before.

🌟Improved: PBS Prescription improvements

We have improved the alignment when printing PBS prescriptions as well as the ability for users (who have been given access) to be able to edit or delete a prescription within allowed parameters.

🌟Improved: 12-hour clock feature applied to all AU practices

AU practices can now choose between using the 12 or 24-hour clock.

πŸ› Bug Fix: Discount prompt

Previously when an invoice was locked, it was still showing the discount prompt. This has now been removed.

Dentally Portal

πŸ†• New: User Permission Control

We've had feedback from users wanting to control what a Level 3 user can change within the Manage app. We're happy to say this is now possible. We have added a new setting allowing Level 4 users to limit Level 3 users from being able to edit settings to view only. This is configurable for each section of the Manage App from editing appointments to customising practitioner profiles.

πŸ†• Now in Beta: Patient form signing without login

We know scanning forms is time-consuming and we don't like wasting paper either. The Portal team has been working on a way to get more patients to complete their forms online before attending your practice. We like to call this Fast Track Forms and is part of our new Task Reminders service.

If you are interested in being an early adopter of this feature, please reach out to our support team.

🌟Improved: Refinements to Portal account registration

We've continued on our journey to make the patient registration process as smooth as possible, deleting unnecessary fields, improving interactions and refining our patient record matching algorithm.

πŸ› Bug Fix: Newly uploaded photos to the practitioner profile within the Dentally Portal manage app are now displaying.
