Three ways you can utilise Dentally's automation feature to ease your workload...

You can use Dentally's built in Automation feature to set up all kinds of automatic correspondence to send to your patients before or after their appointment. You can send messages around these three types of filters;

Each type of communication allows you to filter who these send to in different ways. Lets that a look at an example of each below....

Appointments

As you can see in this example we have used the automation feature to set up an additional 1 week reminder for all patients with an appointment in the pending status.

However, this is just one example of using the appointments communication type. When you change the parameters and the email/SMS templates you are sending you can use this feature for even more communications. Some other ideas of how to use this Appointment type would include...

  • Regular Dentally Portal reminders

  • Medical History reminders

  • Chasing FTA's and WNB's

  • Contacting cancellations to rebook appointments

Estimates

For our estimate example gif video above you can see that we set up an estimate reminder, using a template that directs patients to the Dentally Portal to sign the estimates/consent forms generated in surgery. This communication goes 1 hour after the document has been generated reminding them to check the planned work/consent form and sign as required.

You could also set up further reminders for those that ignore the initial one and still have outstanding estimates/consent forms later down the line.

Invoices

Lastly the invoices option can be used in two ways either to chase outstanding invoices to make sure they are paid by the patients either through a stripe payment link or through the Dentally Portal.

Or it can be used to send invoices to your patients for that which has already been paid. Like receiving a receipt after making a payment.

In the example gif video above we are setting up an outstanding invoice communication to send when an invoice hasn't been paid after 1 week of being generated.
