Acquiring 3D Images starts in a similar way to a 2D acquisition. You can either;

  • Chart the desired treatment items as normal, including your x-rays.

  • Once ready, click Acquire Images.

  • This will automatically choose the 3D column procedure as highlighted below in step 1.

OR

  • Click Acquire Images before charting any items.

  • Use the navigation menu on the left to find the 3D Volume procedure as highlighted below in step 1.

  • Then choose your acquisition type and select the relevant settings

  • Choose the relevant teeth according to the selected procedure. An example of a sextent is show in Step 3

  • Select the acquisition method (the equipment you will you use to take the image) and then 'Proceed with Acquisition.'

  • The status screen will appear. It will guide you through taking the images and will upload the completed acquisition straight into Dentally Vision as shown above.

  • Once you close out of Dentally Vision after acquiring the image, you will see the tooth indicators change colour to clearly represent the image assigned to that tooth, and the charted treatment will now have the imaging icon against it.

Remember! You can always click into the Cloud Gallery to be able to view any images taken or uploaded into Dentally Vision.
