Our monthly Product Update and Newsletter are here to keep you informed about what is happening here at Dentally.

๐ŸŒŸImproved: Dentally Vision header UI improvements

Where the white header has been removed and all actions now appear within the black window.

๐ŸŒŸImproved: Practitioner Allocations report enhancements.

Weโ€™ve added two additional columns - and corresponding filters - to the Practitioner Allocations report. These changes provide more ways for practices to report on what practitioners have billed and what invoices remain unpaid.

You can now see and select โ€œCreated onโ€ to filter invoice lines based on the date they were actually created rather than the invoice date itself.

You can also now filter on โ€œDays oldโ€, which is the number of days between today and the original invoice date. We calculate a โ€œDays oldโ€ value for all invoice lines that are unallocated - meaning they are unpaid. This allows practices to get a view of patient debtors by individual practitioners and then filter this based on the conventional 30, 60 or 90-day-old ranges to prioritise which patients to follow up. ๐ŸŒŸImproved: Improvements to Hover Charting

Various improvements have been made to the performance of the Hover Charting suggestions panel to make the panel more responsive and less likely to obstruct the user.

๐ŸŒŸImproved: Invalid medical history status and reason

We have introduced an 'Invalid' status for Medical Histories. As of now, this status can be applied by Dentally, along with a reason, to indicate that the submitted form should not be used. In the coming month, you will also be able to set this status and reason yourselves. Previous answers to invalidated medical histories are hidden from portal and iPad users for clinical safety and GDPR reasons.

๐ŸŒŸImproved: Automatic removal of zero-value invoices

If a users creates an invoice with no line items against a patient account, the invoice will automatically be removed if the user selects the close button.

๐ŸŒŸImproved: Preferred name included when booking an appointment

For consistency and to ensure you have the correct individual, we have added the patient's preferred name to the name field when booking appointments via the calendar. This will appear in parentheses after the name as per the primary patient search.

๐Ÿ›Bug Fix: Perio Exam workflow settings bugs

2 bugs have been fixed when changing workflow settings in the Perio exam.

Firstly, a graphical issue when changing the charting sequence has been resolved.

Secondly, where the results table included only pocket depth or recession, an issue was fixed where the input did not automatically progress to the next tooth site.

๐ŸŒŸImproved: Larger Observations field view

For NHS Scotland Claims and Prior Approval Screen, the observations field size has been increased on screen, making it easier to write and review observations on claims and PAs. The amount of text allowed has not changed, as this is a standard imposed by NHS SC.

๐ŸŒŸImproved: SC ADA Codes in Vision

Scotlands' new ADA codes have now been added to Dentally Vision.

๐ŸŒŸImproved: NHS NI Re-Registration without treatment code added

It is now possible to chart a 'Re-registration without treatment' code in NHS Northern Ireland to allow for re-registrations where the patient has not been seen.

๐Ÿ›Bug Fix: Filter resetting issue in PRSI Claims report

An issue has been fixed to prevent the report filters enabled when running the PRSI claims report from being reset after claims are updated.

๐Ÿ›Bug Fix: NHS NI - 7301 treatment update

The Northern Irish NHS code 7301 has been added to the 'discretionary fee' list, meaning the patient charge and Dentist Fee values can now be updated following advice from BSO.

๐Ÿ›Bug Fix: NHS altered treatment plans

Altering the treatment plan linked to an NHS claim could result in the claim status not updating to match the NHS systems if the treatment plan contained an issue that would prevent it from being submitted as a new claim.

The behaviour has been changed to allow the claim status to be updated by the NHS without validating the current treatment plan contents.

๐Ÿ›Bug Fix: NHS Scotland orthodontic report filters

A fix has been implemented to ensure that when selecting a location on the orthodontic report, the practitioners' list is correctly filtered to those from that location.

๐ŸŒŸImproved: Additional payment types to track insurance payments

Now when recording a payment, additional payment types have been added allowing users to record payments from common insurance companies.

๐ŸŒŸImproved: Price Updates

DVA, DVA Specialists, DVA Prosthetist prices updated for all AU practices.

๐Ÿ› Bug Fix: Steri-tracking bug fix

Users can no longer unlink/delete appointments without removing steri-tracking first.

๐Ÿ›Bug Fix: Perio exam creation date bug fix

A bug has been fixed which caused Perio exams to be created with an inappropriate date. This is now fixed.


Dentally Portal

๐Ÿ†• New: Traffic sources on the performance chart

We've added details to the Online Signing performance chart to help you understand your traffic sources.

It now shows which traffic is coming directly from task reminders and which traffic is coming from other sources, such as appointment reminders and your website.

๐Ÿ›Bug Fix: Level 3 Manage app log in

We fixed an error where level 3 users couldn't view the manage app after logging in.

๐Ÿ›Bug Fix: New patient practitioner assignment

We fixed an issue where, in some cases, new patients weren't being assigned a preferred practitioner.

๐Ÿ›Bug Fix: Patient Booking Slots

Practices using the non-optimised calendar for online appointments were not displaying all available slots to their patients.

We've now resolved this and improved this feature. It will now show the first nine slots of the day, with the option to view later times.
