Using the recovery feature in Dentally Vision

When multiple images are taken and some are left un-mounted in the scanned image section when uploading your final exam, you will be prompted to use the recovery feature to keep those images in the scanned images section for later.

Check out the video example below or read the written instructions below for a more detailed look at this feature.

Sending images to Recovery

After acquiring your images and dragging and dropping your images onto the examination, you may sometimes be left with some sitting in the 'scanned images' section at the bottom of the screen.

πŸ’‘ Helpful Hint, For more info on how to get to this point above, take a read of our How to acquire images help article here.

When you click 'Begin uploading' If you have images left in the scanned images section, you will be prompted to 'Send Images to Recovery?'

Choosing 'Send to Recovery' will save the images, so the next time you go into an exam for that patient, the images will still show in the scanned images section for you to just drag and drop into the rightful place on the exam.

If you choose 'Discard Images', these images will be deleted and lost with no way to retrieve them.

Using images from Recovery

If you have previously sent images to Recovery for a patient in Dentally Vision, you will see these sitting in the scanned images section when you next go into an exam. It will look something like the image below πŸ‘‡

Instead of starting to acquire images, Just simply drag and drop these into the exam as normal and then choose 'Begin uploading' at the bottom of the screen.
