Your treatment planning screen has moved into phase one. This change has been slowly coming to practices, so if you haven't already seen this, you can expect to see a small redesign to your chart screen.

Stay tuned for more to come!

You can now update practitioner working hours directly from the calendar.

Clicking the name or initials at the top of the calendar will allow to to amend the practitioner's start and end time for the day or make them unavailable for the day.

If a practitioner is working on a day your practice is closed, the 'View closed days' option allows you to see those days in the calendar without amending your opening days/times.

🌟Improved: Custom Fields included in the API

For those utilising the Dentally API for reporting, you can now report on Custom Fields which has now been added for both Patient and Treatment items.

See API documentation for details.

🌟Improved: NHS Scotland Dental Reform

We've added support for NHS Scotland's 1st November 2023 SDR changes, allowing practices to claim for the new codes introduced as part of the news Scottish Dental Reform. Read our news article here to discover more about these changes.

🌟Improved: Manual reconciliation of NHS NI claims

It is now possible to manually reconcile NHS claims in Northern Ireland. This is required where DIS1 claim appeals are successful and supplemental NHS payments are received which do not appear on an electronic schedule.

πŸ›Bug Fix: Create BPE within NHS claim issue

An issue was resolved where it was not possible to create a new BPE exam from within an NHS claim submission screen.

Dentally Portal

Patients can now use Google Pay to take care of appointment deposits and balance payments with just a few taps.

Stripe will charge the same rate for processing Google Pay transactions as they do for all other credit and debit card transactions.

There is no additional fee from Google for Google Pay transactions. Apple Pay is coming soon.

🌟Improved: Task Reminder Improvements

We've been busy behind the scenes improving the performance of Task Reminders at collecting pre-appointment forms.

After analysing data from over 300 practices, we've observed a 2.7 fold increase in the digital signing of Medical History forms.

This enhanced functionality can be effortlessly enabled with a single click through the Dentally Portal Manage App.

🌟Improved: Accessibility increased for the Patient Portal app

Font sizes now dynamically adjust based on device screen resolution, ensuring optimal readability and spacing.

🌟Improved: Improved Appointment Booking

We've streamlined the appointment booking process by eliminating steps and reducing the required clicks.

This refinement makes booking appointments quicker and more intuitive, minimising the chance of patients dropping off before completing their booking.

🌟Improved: Now using your Stripe account in Dentally

Dentally Portal now uses your linked Stripe account in Dentally to enable balance payments and appointment deposits in Dentally Portal.

🌟Improved: Layout change to non-optimised availability calendar

For practices using our non-optimised availability. Rather than default to show four appointment times throughout the day, we now return the first nine available slots in increments of the appointment length being searched. Followed by a show more button to load later times.
